Amazing beach front location

The location was amazing, the hotel opens right out onto Alona beach. The breakfast was good with a selection of 4 orders to chose from. The room was spacious with a large bathroom and shower. The staff on reception were very helpful, we booked our tours through the hotel.

The bed was incredibly hard & uncomfortable, did not sleep well during our stay. The staff in the restaurant / bar were incredibly slow. You could tell many people were getting frustrated with the speed of service, several people sat down were given a menu with the waiter then disappearing for 20 mins, we saw many customers leave as they were not served. To me it seems like the place is missing out on loads of custom due to how slow the staff were to take orders and bring drinks. We took it upon ourselves to order 2 to 3 drinks at at time to save the wait for another.

Great location lovely staff food good (bit pricey compared to local restaurants) good live music in evenings.

Our room was number 1 noisy as next to kitchen areas from early morning until 11pm.

Great location and rooms are ok.

The location is great right on the beach.

No vehicle access and had to scull drag our luggage for 150m in the sand. Also too many people harassing you to buy goods when you are enjoying the hotel bar and food area.

Food, staff good, bar, and restaurants both in resort and close by. Close to lots if diving businesses so if you like that, it's great.

The beach is kinda crap. You have to walk from the road trough paved beach road. But they helped us after we checked out so its not that bad.

Absolutely fantastic couple of days. Beach hotel and the little pool where so close it paradise on your doorstep

Location is both great and bad. Great if like us it was short stay so minimal baggage and it was less than a minute from the beach which was absolutist fantastic..

Location? I woukd have like to drive up drop bags off but it's a ten minute walk from where you park..

Centre of Alona Beach, good vibes, perfect location!!

Central location right in the centre of Alona Beach. If you want to be amongst it this is the place to stay! Really great room(traditional), had everything we needed. Lovely bathroom. Restaurant and bar downstairs

Nice hotel on the beach

Room was spacious with Sea view (no balcony). You get a breakfast voucher for up to 500 php, the breakfast has a few options we thought were enough, the hotel is located on the beach in a dynamic area. We loved staying there.

They have bands playing regularly so I would recommend getting a room on the swimming pool side if you are sensitive to the noise. It didn't bother us as it stopped before midnight from memory.

Our room was very good. We liked our stay, directly at the beach. Food was good. Breakfast delicious.

You get voucher for breakfast and if you go over you need to pay more. It was ok but for us, we wanted to have different dishes but then you go over amount. Of course one meal was really big but it should be half of this and then we could have omlette together with fruits maybe or sth. Currently you needed to order one of them only.

Breakfast was ala carte with a given max budget of 500 peso person. This might seem good enough but the item prices were on the higher side which means you might have to pay extra from your pocket of you order value is more.

What was the highlight of Alona Vida Beach Resort

Very good

The location is fabulous, being right on the beach front, ideal for swimming, kayaking, and sunbathing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They arranged a decent priced day tour and all our transport to and from the hotel. The system for ordering food in the restaurant was pretty effective with QR codes on the table so you didn't need to attract the attention of the waiting staff to get service. There was an excellent live band every night with an amusing sign, giving their name as "Sacrifice the band live on stage".

The towels in the room were old and threadbare so the hotel should purchase some new ones. Their coffee machine broke after the first night so we had to drink instant coffee or buy coffee from another place. The wifi was really poor and I had better connectivity using data on my cell phone.

The breakfast was good, we ordered off the menu and a voucher was provided to use as a credit towards the meal.

The noise wasn't an issue for us, but it is loud into the evening.
